Refund Policy

Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all programs, concerts, online/offline courses, and training services
provided by The Folk Music Academy.

Part A: Folk Music Program / Concert – Refund Policy (Artist Side)

1. Booking Confirmation & Advance Payment

  • The artist’s performance is confirmed only after receiving an advance payment
    (generally 50% of the total performance fee).
  • The remaining amount must be paid on the event day before the performance begins.

2. Event Cancellation by the Organizer

  • If the event is canceled more than 15 days before the scheduled date,
    the advance payment is non-refundable.
    However, rescheduling to a new date may be discussed based on artist availability.
  • If the event is canceled within 15 days of the scheduled date,
    the full agreed performance fee will be payable
    (exceptions may be considered through mutual discussion).
  • In cases of natural disasters, political unrest, or emergency situations,
    both parties may mutually decide on a new date or revised terms.

3. Event Cancellation by the Artist

  • If the artist is unable to perform due to illness, accident, or unavoidable personal reasons:
    • The full advance payment will be refunded, or
    • A new performance date will be proposed based on artist availability.
  • In such cases, the artist will provide written notice with maximum possible prior communication.

4. Event Postponement / Date Change

  • If the organizer postpones the event, the advance payment may be transferred to the new date
    subject to artist availability.
  • If the artist is unavailable on the new date, the advance payment is non-refundable
    unless otherwise mutually agreed.

5. Refund Processing

  • Applicable refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days
    via the original payment method.
  • Payment gateway or service charges are non-refundable.

6. Additional Notes

  • The artist is not responsible for low audience turnout, organizer negligence,
    or sound/technical issues.
  • If specified in the agreement, travel, accommodation, and sound arrangements
    must be provided by the organizer.

Part B: Student Refund Policy (Music Education & Training)

1. Admission & Course Fees

  • Admission or registration fees are non-refundable.
  • Course fees are charged monthly, quarterly, or annually
    and apply only to the specified duration.

2. Course Cancellation by Student

  • If the student cancels before classes begin:
    • Notification at least 72 hours in advance may qualify for a
      partial refund (up to 50%).
    • Registration fees remain non-refundable.
  • Cancellation within 72 hours of class start: No refund.
  • Once classes have started, course or monthly fees are non-refundable.
  • Leaving the course midway does not qualify for any refund or fee adjustment.

3. Course Cancellation by the Academy

  • If the Academy cancels a course due to instructor illness, natural disaster,
    or administrative reasons:

    • Full refund will be provided, or
    • Classes will be rescheduled or credit vouchers issued with student consent.

4. Absentee Policy

  • Absence due to personal reasons does not guarantee refunds or makeup classes
    (exceptions only with instructor approval).
  • Course fees will not be reduced due to absence.

5. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days.
  • Refunds are issued only via bank transfer or digital payment.
  • Payment gateway charges are non-refundable.
